The serious somber tone of the previous DEATH WISH films has been replaced with gleeful violent fantasy. Bronson finds a group of helpless poor people and seniors under seige from a sadistic gang of scumbags. Charlie arms these fed-up victims and marshals violent resistance against these mugging, murdering, raping lowlifes. Gavin O'Herlihy, who played older brother Chuck Cunningham on early episodes of HAPPY DAYS, plays the reverse-mohawked leader of the criminal gang. Alex Winter, who played Bill in the BILL AND TED films, shows up here as one of the villainous gang members. Fun 80s macho action flick.
