This movie is about promoting the singers! It’s not about our Lord the Christ. I am already 60 minutes in the movie and immensely irritated by this non- stop singing and talking. Absolutely unacceptable! Shame on you for selling this movie in the name of Christ.

Wednesday, December 8, 08:12:16 PM

I came for a movie, not to be converted. Why so much dialogue??? And singing???

Wednesday, December 8, 08:11:03 PM

I didn’t care for the singing nor the talking. I want my money back!

Wednesday, December 8, 07:59:41 PM

Endless singing and talking ???? For shame!

Wednesday, December 8, 07:55:41 PM

The movie part was good, the monologues were ok, the music videos were insufferable! I did not come for the singers, I came for the movie.

Wednesday, December 8, 04:53:08 PM

The music was superb and the story well done.

Wednesday, December 8, 12:18:33 PM

It was a beautiful and powerful movie. So moving and inspirational.

I am a pastor of a church in Bismarck N.D. Our church contributed alot of money towards the crowdfunding for season 2 of The Chosen - because we loved their work and believe in their cause of promoting the Gospel. But this movie was very disappointing. I invited my church to go to this together - felt bad for those who attended. We all agreed - the movie part was good, the monologues were ok, the music videos were insufferable - a shameful attempt to promote artists. Subjectively, most of the music were poor remakes. The Chosen series is authentic, raw, and honest - the exact opposite of these over-produced, lip-syncing music videos. The whole thing felt like a bait and switch - we come for a movie, but then have to sit through an hour long music commercial. I immediately recommended to my congregation to NOT see the movie - but stick with the series. We all make mistakes in judgment sometimes, and grace is needed. But Dallas in my opinion definitely made a mistake signing off on this project. I hope he listens to the honest feedback from his audience and learns not to sell out to this style again. We love The Chosen - the movie portion was pretty good - but we didn't love the surrounding fluff. I sadly gave this a rating of only 2 out of 5 stars.

Nothing glorified God or Christ by those fake lip syncing singers, I’m not sure if some of them believe what they were singing. Church people love to support Christian project but not money making scheme like this. Very disappointed.

Tuesday, December 7, 09:02:31 PM

It was so bad I had to close my eyes and pray. Dripping with over-the-top manufactured emotion, song after unending song. I was so uncomfortable. And I’m a Christian! Absolute rubbish, I’m embarrassed for this film.

Tuesday, December 7, 06:29:03 PM

No! Do not waste your hard earned money!! It’s all Music, and not even that inspirational, ZERO Christmas Spirit after this SCAM was over!! I LOVE JESUS and feel bad that people were so mislead!! Shame on you!!

Tuesday, December 7, 06:20:32 PM

I loved everything about it! The music was a perfect part of the story. I liked the story reflecting the reality of the nativity.

Tuesday, December 7, 05:01:34 PM

I did not like or would not recommend this musical. All songs and talking...where is the christmas movie?? We expected a Christmas movie!! Plus it is a special "movie" so we paid more and are very disappointed!!! I asked my friends to come.

Tuesday, December 7, 07:12:15 AM

TOOOO many songs....

Tuesday, December 7, 02:01:44 AM

Filled with hope at a time when the majority of entertainment is dark and dystopian. It is predominantly a Christmas musical with a message.

Monday, December 6, 10:15:18 PM

Loved it!

Monday, December 6, 08:38:25 PM

Leaves you stunned at the humbleness of a baby born in a lowly stable with such impoverished conditions, and at the same time jumping for joy in worship and praise that He is with us. “People need to know” has never meant so much…

Monday, December 6, 07:17:48 PM

The movie was great, inspiring and realistic, but the music was overkill, trying to focus on the unknown artists and their comments, it was more like a lecturing, I was so annoyed, ready to walk out after what seemed like forever approximately 75 minutes of singing, when the actual movie started. Disappointed in the egotistic, self-centered intro!

Monday, December 6, 05:44:34 PM

The Cain song Commission, Bonner family, and Breath Heaven song with dramatic reading and show would have been more than enough! The episode was touching, could have been longer. More Chosen, less singing! Bring tissues!!The show itself was amazing!!

Monday, December 6, 04:39:11 PM

I loved the beginning with actors from the Chosen explaining certain aspects of Jesus birth, the singing (staged so well!) was beautiful! A children's choir singing "What Child is This?", angelic! For the musicians, their hearts were in it! The movie of Christ's birth, they made it authentic and relateable, both Mary and Joseph were frightened, not knowing what to expect. It touched my heart!

Monday, December 6, 12:27:23 PM

I love The Chosen series. I thought I was going to watch a movie. Very long time watching people singing songs was boring. I would not sit thru this again & will not recommend to others.

Monday, December 6, 11:16:10 AM

I love the Chosen but this was not what was expected for most people. It's an hour and a half of Christmas music videos which I could've watched on youtube and a 20-minute episode that portrayed very little of the coming of Jesus. People were leaving at the theater I attended. I state this because Dallas mentions how people will come to the movies for the right project and this simply is NOT it. For those wanting to bring non-believers to hear the story of Christ, this will more than likely be a turn-off for them and isn't engaging. I really wanted my brother to see what I see in the series Chosen and this movie put him to sleep. This is a two-hour-long music video, not a movie.

Monday, December 6, 10:16:40 AM

The music was beautiful and anointed! The way the story of Jesus birth was depicted made it relatable and real. Loved it! Well done Dallas and team!

Monday, December 6, 10:09:55 AM

That it is only a group of artists singing trying to get fame. That is NOT a movie.

Sunday, December 5, 11:43:12 PM

The music mixed with the story of Christ's birth- I'm going again!

Sunday, December 5, 11:24:43 PM

Not enough drama..acting like the chosen is known for. I Went to see a movie ..not music videos..The acting and writing was great..The chosen people should have promoted this as a praise and worship event ..not a true movie.

Sunday, December 5, 10:11:25 PM

If you need some Joy and Hope, by all means go and see this movie. If you love The Chosen series you will love this incredible production! Get ready to worship💗

Sunday, December 5, 08:30:41 PM

Too long on music and too short on story. Music is overhyped.

Sunday, December 5, 08:13:40 PM

It wasn't really a movie but more of a promo for a bunch of singing groups which were way over hyped at that. 2 hours of Lip sync and 30 minutes of the movie. If I had know that was what I was going to see (hear) I would have just bought the cd to support the Chosen and then thrown the cd away. Very disapointed and I won't be going back to see another Choosen movie in the theaters again. We almost walked out but I would have felt a little guilty walking out on the birth of Christ. Ha!

Sunday, December 5, 07:13:04 PM

Loved the beautiful worship music. Loved the speaking parts and the movie part! Just loved everything about it! Great job Dallas! It didn’t disappoint! Just called an out of state friend and found a theater near her! She is thrilled and said her whole family will go!

Sunday, December 5, 06:21:05 PM

Beautiful music and joy in the true meaning of Christmas. The episode at the end giving the reality of having a child, a chosen child in those days is beautiful and impactful. Real and honest. Loved it!

Sunday, December 5, 03:21:56 PM

Outstanding production. Moving beyond belief. Impactful!

Sunday, December 5, 11:20:35 AM

I thought I was going to see a movie, not a CCM concert and witnessing spectacle. I love the Chosen but cannot recommend this unless you’re an evangelical that likes this kind of music and in your face preaching.

Sunday, December 5, 10:16:37 AM

The beautiful story of Christmas is Jesus. The Savior of the World. People must know how much he loves them. The music was worshipping our soon coming King. Great presentation of the birth of Christ.

Sunday, December 5, 01:39:00 AM

I absolutely loved this I laughed, I cried. I was caught up in it. Even though we had to sit in the second row cause the theater was pretty much sold out!! Wonderful Christmas production

Saturday, December 4, 11:49:05 PM

First they promoted what was to come, then song after song of good, not great, musical quality, then little blurbs, finally the movie for about 30 minutes, ending with another highly staged song. I brought a water bottle and the security lady came to me after the movie played for twenty minutes and confiscated it - didn't know water wasn't allowed. S.S. on patrol! Will not be back.

Saturday, December 4, 11:00:40 PM

The blend of music (really pulled at my heartstrings). And the story out-takes, excellent. Then finally topped off with the movie, all so so good!

Saturday, December 4, 10:51:54 PM

I didn't like that there was so much music for the first hour and 25 minutes. I love the chosen but 4 of my family members plus me was disappointed in this.

Friday, December 3, 03:43:23 PM

Blindsided with mostly singing. I was expecting to see a movie at the MOVIE theater, but instead I was tortured with over a hour of fake singing with overly make-up done artists that came nowhere close to sharing the good news of Christ. What it seemed to me was just another money making scheme. I'm very disappointed in Dallas Jenkins. I feel that he's more focused on promoting The Chosen than with telling the world how awesome our Savior is... Since this squandered opportunity of REALLY proclaiming Christ, I have unsubscribed from all Chosen apps and emails. I feel used.

Friday, December 3, 03:33:05 PM

I loved the singing, the monologues on God's attributes and why "people need to know about Jesus" discussions. I was aware there were performances before the episode but that was one reason I loved it. Music has and will always be an expression of praise to God. The episode, The Messengers, was well done and gave you a realistic look at what could have been reality on that night for Mary and Joseph. Excellent, awesome and amazing how Dallas Jenkins tells you the story of Jesus in a realistic environment and the depth of the Bible is right before you in living color. I left the performance with nothing but love and joy!
