Lady Usher

Creepy fun and suspenseful. Not a horror movie, no blood but intense. The actor who plays Lady Usher is excellent. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of her venom. I think the filmmakers made the movie with a nod to other movies as there are some fun almost campy moments and references. I enjoyed it.

Definitely a slow burn but totally worth it. Major creep factor, suspenseful, worth the watch. Don't take it too seriously. I think the filmmakers were having some fun with the subject.

Based on Edgar Allen Poe's short story, this is from a woman's point of view. Morgan goes to be with her boyfriend, Roderick and meets his family. His mother, Lady Usher runs the house and doesn't like her son having a girlfriend. The scene at the dinner table is intense.This isn't a horror movie, but it's super suspenseful. It moves slow (not in a bad way) as Morgan meets Roderick's family and they're all creepy. Lots of twists and turns and sexy scenes. I loved the costumes.
