The film is entertaining and moves along at a steady pace. The heart and soul of it, though, is Harvey Keitel, as the older Lansky, giving his best performance in years. Well worth seeing.
Harvey Keitel gives an Oscar worthy performance
It's like a 30yr old wokie wrote and directed this. All his/hers modern ideas of relationships, marriage and mores' overlaid unto 1930's people. Then there is the lead guy...with his scruffy "i'm not a homosexual, really!" beard, and bad acting, this was a forgetable throwaway, enormous waste of perfectly good celluloid.
