This movie took my breath away, with the reality that we as a people can inflict such horror upon ourselves. People will use us and abuse us as long as we continue to put the lust of money and material objects over our personal well being.

Easily one of the best movies of the year - definately the best I`ve seen in 2006.

This movie is definitely Oscar worthy! Leo has definitely grown up and is no longer the Titanic boy he was portrayed to be. He is simply breathtaking in this movie (side by side of "The Departed"). I wasn`t a fan of him until this year. The movie had a great script and everyone was great in it. Made you really think whether funding these high corporate companies in the expense of hurting and ruining peoples lives` is really worth it? A MUST SEE!! FINALLY A MOVIE THAT IS MEANINGFUL!!

This movie is a must see. Although some scenes, mutilation of children, were quite disturbing. Sure makes you think why diamonds havde the market value they do and at what price???????

Leonardo has once again proven earlier criticisms of his acting abilities to be WRONG! That he thoroughly researched the origins of his character is obvious and his character portrayal was evenly acted throughout the movie! Djimon Hounsou played an awesome role, as well and the two characters both gelled and grated against each other in a truly believable way. A MUST SEE movie!!

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It had a great story line with powerful performances by all the actors.

This by far one of the best movies of 2006. I`m happy to see Hollywood making movies that depict true life events, should make us more appreciative how how good we have here in North America. Anyone said that did not enjoy should have their head examined. Happy New Year All!!!!

Ya I no i no..It looks boring....and its pretty damn long, but its worth it! i kwould pay $100.00 to see that movie again. IT is so touching. One of the best movies of the year and if you dissagree your so heartless!

this movie was an outstanding movie.Best picture of 2006.It was a very good movie and a very sad movie.It made you think of what some people go through everyday.I find it very emotional.And yes its a disturbing story but somebody needs to tell it.

Incredibly realistic, and a fair portrayal of the issue--though a bit graphic for an average viewer. A must see. One of Djimon Hounsou`s best preformance yet. Though Dicaprio`s accent wasn`t perfect--his preformance was very believable.

I smell an Oscar in the air. A very exciting movie and we should all think twice before buying diamonds. Who knows if they are blood diamonds or not???

an enjoyable movie that depicts life in the conflicting diamond regions of africa although at times it did seem exaggeratted but as always leonardo dicaprio was spectacular, should win best actor
