Entertaining way to spend an afternoon.Some conscious raising in an action movie format.The movie will make you think twice before purchasing any diamonds.(I never got the fascination for them).Leonardo is quite good as is his co-star,who probably gave one of the most under-rated performances in a movie that few people ever saw (Amistead...rent it).

Blood Diamond is an incredibly moving story, delivered with powerful performances, it is disturbing and thought provoking. The scenery is amazing. Solomon Vandy is a humble man whose strength of character is delivered believably by Djimon Hounsou.

One of the best movies to see in the fall. Powerhouse performances from Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou, in which they should deserve an Oscar this year. With some disturbing violence in the movie, it really helps indicate why conflict diamonds are killing lives.

one amazing movie

Amazing movie! Movie was intense and so emotional! It made me think of how many people do not realize how blessed we are living in a country where do not have to think on how to survive the next day! We have so much here in Canada, and yet, some people are drawn to do evil things. Movie is an eye-opener. You will not waste your time.

WOW....what english, or better yet - HUMAN - words could be used to describe the intensity and realness of this amazing blockbuster...it`s so real, that immersed in the middle of watching it one feels they are actually there...the anxiety, the pain,distress and complete inhumane treatment and torture African`s have and still do face all because of a rock that the rest of the world values as a show of wealth and power....Catastrophic, disastrous, shattering...simply, TRAGIC...

Nice story with a moral

Amazing movie, go watch it, and for the people that are dissing leonardo di caprio, i think his accent was pretti convincing and right for the role and has proved his acting skills in the aviator + departed + this. Great movie, abit long but a great movie.

wat a movie...one can compare is with lord of war...tells all the truths about conflicts in this world and its backing by the west

this movie is a great movie to make you think about the world and how we are spoiled. We think we have it so tough because we have to work two jobs to pay bills etc. when ppl in other less-fortunate countries would do anything jsut for the chance to live here.

Disappointing movie overall. DiCaprio`s laughable South African accent is the worst since Kevin Coster`s English accent in Robin Hood. Leonardo trying the be a "tough guy" action star with all his menacing facial expressions makes this drama excruciatingly difficult to watch. Hounsou and Connelly, however, are top calibre actors who, unfortunately, have to dumb it down to DiCaprio`s level. Save your money and watch it on DVD if you are still curious.
